Directions

Directions for use: Rice Pudding 300g (10oz) East End Rice 1.5 litres (21/2 pints) fresh milk 75ml (3fl oz) condensed milk 75g (3oz) sugar 1tsp ground cardamom pinch of saffron 75g/3oz East End Almonds, chopped 75g/3oz East End Golden Sultanas Wash the rice and drain thoroughly. Bring the milk to the boil and add the rice. Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Add the condensed milk and stir until liquid has reduced by half. Add the cardamom, saffron, sultanas and chopped almonds. Continue to stir until mixture is thick. Transfer to individual bowls. When cool, place in refrigerator for 1 hour before serving. Serves 4. Storage recommendation: Once opened store contents in an airtight container under cool, dry conditions. For best before end see reverse Ambient.
